Ingredients | 1 lb steak, chuck or flank 2 tbsp oil 1 clove garlic 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion 1 green pepper, diced 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp powdered ginger 1 tbso corn starch 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 cup bouillon or beef stock (already mixed with water) |
Directions | Cut steak into very thin slices across the grain (about 1 inch wide). Heat oil in skillet and cook meat until well browned. Add the onion and green pepper, then fry for 5 minutes. Add all seasonings. Blend together the soy sauce, bouillon and corn starch. Add the liquid mix to the frying pan. Bring the whole thing to a boil and cook until thick. Serve over rice. |
